Welcome! I am an MFA student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Here, you can see some of my work in progress, including panels from my graphic novel, Eva Creek, as well as mini-comix, single panel cartoons, and pen & ink drawings.
The clarity, simplicity, and forthrightness of the contour line drawn with pen and ink has fascinated me for six decades. There is so much to be said in black and white! Over the course of my life, I have dabbled with oil painting, watercolors, lithography, etching, charcoal, digital drawing (Procreate), collage, and pastels. But nothing, nothing, nothing brings me as much pleasure as drawing with pen and ink. Recently, I got turned onto comix, and soon thereafter, began creating a graphic novel. Currently, I am working towards earning my MFA in printmaking and drawing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I welcome you to check out my work. Many of my hand-pulled prints, mini-comix, and reproductions of my drawings are available for purchase. Some of my work is also available for free to be published in books, newsletters, academic journals, posters, and magazines that hold alternative, progressive, anti-racist, anti-colonialist, and/or feminist principles.
